Goldstar get Smartt for new boss

Pen company Goldstar has appointed Heather Smartt as global head of the company with a remit to continue its global expansion.

Smartt replaces general manager Howard Cubberley who helmed the company for 10 years, developing new product categories and helping to drive the business in Europe.

She joined the company last year as director of global product development to help advance Goldstar’s commitment to manufacturing alternatives, expanding product categories, and enhancing global product design. The company will be looking to fill her previous position.

Smartt has 18 years of experience in the sector and previously worked for Polyconcept in various locations around the world.

She said: “We have a great foundation, and I am looking forward to enhancing our services, bringing more social and environmental awareness across the company as we continue global expansion, commitments to Simplicity and our line of products ‘Made Better’.”

Simplicity is Goldstar’s all-inclusive pricing model and Made Better is a commitment to the use of recycled materials in its products.

Earlier this year, Smartt announced Goldstar’s partnership with sustainable drinkware company, Ocean Bottle, of a new product line.
