Sector Superstars

The annual awards saw a new winner for 2024 as the catalogue group recognised excellence

The Page group hosted its annual awards to recognise the best suppliers and distributors in the sector.

Held at the Delta Warwick Hotel, the awards dinner followed the catalogue group’s conference and exhibition.

Awards recognise level of quality, service, and efficiency from both distributors and suppliers and are based on scores taken from the Page members’ annual surveys.

The Gold Supplier of the Year Award went to the Laltex Group – the first time it has received the award.

Laltex divisional heads Dan Nelson, Amber Whalley, Emma Conway and Chris Nelson accepted the award at the Page event.

Service supreme

Neil Horner, managing director at Laltex Group said it was grateful for the recognition and remained committed to maintaining their customer service success.

“We’d like to thank all the Page members for the wonderful support they’ve given us this year, we’re truly humbled. I would also like to pay tribute to the members of the Laltex team, who work tirelessly to deliver the highest levels of customer service,” he added.

The Laltex silver awards went to Preseli, Pinpoint and WCM+A.

Suppliers also have the opportunity to score Page members in their annual survey, with the winners of the gold awards named as Boosters, Navillus and Allwag. The distributors’ silver awards went to BH1, T King Associates and LSi.

Over and above

This year there was a new category for Supplier Superstar of the Year. This award was given in recognition of a supplier contact who has helped Page members over and above what would normally be expected of them.

With the scores tied, two awards were made, to Claire Etoe of Preseli and Sarah Desborough of The Pen Warehouse.

During the tabletop exhibition in the afternoon, more than 50 suppliers took full advantage of the opportunity to network face-to-face with Page members. The exhibition ended in time to allow suppliers and members to watch England vs Denmark in the Euros championship.

Entertainment continued throughout the evening. As guests were seated for dinner, magician William Poliet made his way around the tables performing close-up magic tricks for the audience. He rounded off his performance by engaging with the whole room and performing a finale that had the crowd astonished.

Following the awards, guests were treated to a performance from comedian Chris Washington. Networking continued in the main bar into the small hours.
